Virtual Brain-Based Yoga Therapy & Personal Training

Helping the women of Boston & beyond to ease chronic pain and make gains

Chronic pain is really hard. Especially when the main areas you experience it is in your back, SI, or hips.

These areas are at the center of the body and at the center of every movement you make. When they hurt it can feel so debilitating and no one truly understands unless they’ve experienced it themselves.

It can feel impossible to stay calm and not spiral into fear based thinking during a flare up, which generally makes things worse.

And not knowing exactly what triggers a painful flare can feel frustrating and leave you constantly on guard.

It can also feel challenging to feel safe to exercise and build strength, even though you know you really need to, because every time you try, you end up in another flare. And just can’t stay consistent.

If this resonates, I feel you.

You are in the right place.

The solution is simple, but not easy.

Chronic pain is different than acute pain and so the way we navigate it is different.

It involves a mind body approach because once pain becomes chronic your brain has learned to be in pain and so conventional exercise alone won’t suffice.

This is where a neurocentric approach to yoga & exercise therapy makes all the difference.

I’m here to show you how.

Imagine understanding what triggers your pain flares and how to avoid them. Imagine less pain on your morning walk or hiking your first 4000 ft. mountain and barely feeling your low back because your hips are strong and mobile. Imagine knowing exactly how to lift heavy things so that you are building strength during your day to day instead of triggering flares. Imagine having the tools and support to find much needed calm at the end of a stressful day, and finally being able to trust your body again to support you in the things you want to do. Imagine singing and playing guitar for hours without worrying about a sciatica flare or rejoining your favorite dance class because you are now prepared for it.

Hi I am Krista Quinn!

I became a yoga and exercise therapist because I spent most of my 20’s and early 30’s navigating debilitating chronic low back, SI pain, and referred hip tightness and mobility issues. I also struggled for years with depression, anxiety, and managing big emotions.

I know first hand how frustrating it is to want to live and move freely, but to have a body that feels like it’s in opposition to this flow.

Like you, I tried all the things, I even had a laminectomy, and it wasn’t until I learned how to look at movement, lifestyle, and emotional health through a holistic brain based lens, that everything shifted.

I now move better in my 40's than I did in my 20's and have supported hundreds of women over the past decade who've struggled with chronic pain, mobility limitations, and emotional overwhelm with the tools to feel strong, and to move, live, and play with less pain and more freedom.

"I have seen some significant improvements in my pain. And when I do have flares, I get quiet, go inwards and listen. And giving space for that has created a level of self-trust that was unexpected and wonderful."
